The 6th in my Disney Fairytale Wedding Photography Collection and what a way to complete the series! This series completed last year and we worked with a whole host of incredible suppliers to make this happen - it was a dream come true! Having created and organised the 5 prior to this, I knew I wanted to follow and fill it with colour and a touch of luxury, fit for a princess. I hope throughout this collection, it’s inspired you for your own wedding day in how you can add touches and themes of your favourite Disney classics to your special day.

Getting Ready is one of my favourite parts of the wedding day. It’s a space where you get all those nervous but excited feelings…you’re looking at your dress or suit in it’s best form after all the alterations, your final details and accessories are all in the same place and you’re feeling incredible as you get ready for the next step. I’ve had the honour and pleasure of seeing this done across different cultures where the brides family help her get ready and family have chosen her wedding day outfit to the bride who takes the opportunity to just sit and be calm, doing her own hair and make-up. Then there are those who choose to have a getting ready party with the bridal party, dancing and singing ….and everything in between! What’s not to love?

I’m all about those little wedding details that make your day unique, so having Catherine from Akito Avalanche Bespoke Wedding Hangers, create these bespoke Cinderella themed hangers was perfect. Vickie, from Spectacular Scenes Wedding Styling, Planning & Design, designed a beautiful wedding bouquet filled with the day’s colours: pink, blue and white. The bridesmaids had small and simple, hand tied gypsophila bouquets to hold which matched the filling foliage of the main bouquet and table flowers.

Extra Special Touch, owned by design genius Heidi Lawton, created a number of bespoke pieces throughout the day, which started with some beautiful getting ready staples. Starting with a bespoke silk robe and 2 piece set for feeling beautiful on the morning, Heidi made luxury simple and effortless! The bridesmaids wore matching pink, oversized ‘Bridesmaid’ shirts and to finish a white & blue lace garter to keep in a little bit of tradition.

As the girls got ready, they were pampered by Kaya B Beauty - Professional Make-Up Artist and I had fun with Glorious by Heidi owner - Heidi doing hair. The ladies hair styles were brought to life with beautiful, bespoke hair vines and accessories from Glorious by Heidi. Luxury bespoke jewellery designers Pugata provided some of their classic blue designs to finish off each look - just wait until you see the ring!

Jade and Danielle’s dresses were from BOOHOO.COM and bespoke dress design house Perfect Fit Bridal Couture, finished this interchangeable colourful number for Bryony. Luke as our prince charming for the day and sported a blue French Connection suit for the occasion.

The Craiglands Hotel & SPA in Ilkley provided a little piece of heaven behind the trees, which Spectacular Scenes dressed throughout to follow the classic Cinderella blue theme. Attention to detail is Vickie’s super power and everything from the hand tied ribbons to the shade of blue for the table covers was taken into account. Chiavari chairs from Laura Lindsay Weddings & Events added the finishing touch of prettiness. The icing on the cake and final piece of deliciousness was a stunning 3 tier cake design & treats by award winning luxury design cake team Where the ribbon ends. Luminest added neon touches for a modern twist and Lorna Boyer Design created on trend stationery and name placements.

If you choose Ilkley as your wedding location, then Ilkley Moor is the perfect backdrop - especially in the summer - for your wedding day photography. The beautiful colour of the heather, mixed in with the greenery is perfect for capturing beautiful photos, moments of hysteria and a quiet moment for just the two of you.

A massive Thank You to everyone who has been involved in this collection, this Cinderella inspired wedding shoot and Bryony Kirkham and Luke Garth for agreeing to take part in my madness…. especially when you’ve never met before I through you all together! An absolute dream team to finish this on!
