Whether it’s being recognised for your logo or putting a face to a name, your business branding is what helps separate you from the others in your field.

It can be sooo scary to get in front of the camera but it helps show a unique side of your brand/business/service that not a single other business has…YOU! Having quality imagery helps you out in a pinch, makes you come across more professional and shares a little bit about your personality…making you stand out from the crowd. AND you don’t have to be posy, finding a photographer who get’s you and what you want is the most important thing - a good headshot is worth it’s weight in gold but images of you at work are just as valuable.

Last year I had my images updated by the incredibly talented Sophie of Scene by Sophie, and whilst they don’t showcase my working space (which less face it - can change weekly), they do show you a little bit of me: I’m smiley, feminine, like to experiment with my hair etc. It already helps you have an insight into if you’d like to work with me, because if you aren’t a fan of people who dye their hair odd colours - I’m not the woman for you.

Yes I matched my skirt to my hair, no I don’t edit my bra rolls, and I’m a little introverted - hence the middle of nowhere on a Sunday for my new headshots. here’s a couple of my faves from Sophie:

Introduce yourself and your favourite things
Sharing a tip, update about bookings/products/rules/services
Launch a new service
Talk about your space or your products, if you have them
Filler posts: these can be related to things you like and passionate about that aren’t necessarily your business - great for when things are slow, you don’t have new content or aren’t sure what to post
Backgrounds for a quote

Showing your face and products/service etc consistently helps build trust, associates you with your business/brand and helps people get to know you - which ultimately is what makes people choose you!
